At the eyepiece
Ten-power magnification over 50 mm objectives gives a 5 mm exit pupil that matches a dark-adapted eye, so nearly all the gathered light reaches your retina — bright, wide, and steady enough to hand-hold. Sweep the Milky Way, the Pleiades, or the Andromeda Galaxy with both eyes open; the Porro-prism path folds the light for that classic wide true field and a real sense of depth.
Standalone · in the kit
Built for one job — wide-field sweeping — and it needs nothing else on the table to do it. Still, the whole kit works best in concert on a dark night.
